13 Dec CETDEM staff conducted an educational programmes for a group of 43 children of aged 3 – 12 accompanied by 7 teachers at Titi Eco Farm Resort.
7 & 9 Dec THE OF Project Coordinator attended the ASEAN Civil Society Conference. Some of the topics discussed were Natural Resources/Environment Management & Woman, Youth & Indigenous Groups
6 Dec Visited Che Engku Mahira's orchard farm to assess and reactivate the organic vegetable gardening activities in Ulu Langat.
3 Dec The OF Project Coordinator brought a group of 9 Vietnamese Government Officials from the Provincial People's of Investment Priorities in Ha Giang to Titi Eco Resort Farm and Loh's Organic Vegetable Garden on a study tour.
30 Nov The OF Project Coordinator attended the Ford Grant presentation ceremony at the Sunway Lagoon Resort Hotel.
29 Nov The OF Project Coordinator Visited the PERKOBP Training Centre to assess the area which the centre aims to reactivate into its vegetable garden. PERKOBP is a NGO aiming to equip the slow learning teenager/adults to achieve independent living.Together with SCI, another NGO, plans are underway.
20 Nov CETDEM participated in a Recycling event organized by the Hawkers Association of Section 17, PJ, in cooperation with MPPJ Local Agenda 21. It was a day to promote the reuse of plastic bags and carrying own basket while marketing
13 Nov The OF Project Coordinator and Ms Tan of Chan Organic, Malacca, with a few others, visited the Organic Eco Rice Farm in Kahang and another organic farm3 owned by Zenxin Agri-Organic Food S/B in Kluang, Johore. The Kahang Rice Farm not only grows rice but recently has also gone into eco tourism with a series of fun activities. The Zenxin Farm has a total of 14 acres and is still expanding mainly cultivating leafy vegetables in the ‘Green House’
12 Nov Kok Hee Poh, the DDC Technical Coordinator gave a talk and energy audit exercise to members of the Soka Gakai in Muar, Johore.
11 Nov The OF Project Coordinator visited a 3 acres farm land of Sam Yap who is very determined to go into organic farming in Batu Arang. Dropped by Yahqappu’s farm a few km away and met this nature love bird, Low Yu Guan, who processed a small amount of coconut oil for the farm’s consumption. The aroma of the coconut oil is so fantastic!
16 Oct CETDEM participated in Mont Kiara Bazaar in collaboration with Hati organization
13 Oct CETDEM set up exhibition booth in University Malaya in conjunction with World Environment Day to promote energy efficiency and organic wastes recycling.
8-9 Oct A 2 Days 1 Night farm tour to Cameron Highland, participated by 44 members, family members and friends. Visited Mr. Fung’s farm in Ringlet, mushroom farm in Tanah Rata operated by Perusahaan Cendawan KWP, Mr. Ho’s farm and Mr. Lee’s farm in Brinchang.
3-5 Oct The OFP Coordinator participated in SEACON’s conference on “AFTA in a Changing Regional & Global Economy : Impacts & Prospects”
2 Oct A short course on bins composting was held in CETDEM office. 11 people participated.
22-28 Sept. Ms.Tan & Mr. Gurmit attended IFOAM General Assembly in Adelaide Australia.
14 Sept Shooting on composting by Red Communication Sdn. Bhd. for 3R TV programme, to encourage viewers to recycle their household wastes into compost.
11 Sept Study tour to Titi Eco Farm Resort - The reason why CETDEM OF Project very often organizes study trips to Titi Eco Farm Resort is that it is so far the only integrated farm (though there is room for improvement) that we know of.
9 Sept OF Project Coordinator visited Zenxin’s organic farm in Gua Musang. A big farm in a deep jungle (however is fast developed for agriculturall purposes by other developers), infested with wild animals, accessible only with 4WD. Planted mostly with organic fruits like dragon fruits, papaya, long beans, turnip, etc.
8-9 Sept Case study on Mr.Ho’s four farms in Cameron Highland. Jannie and husband, Mr Sunny of Health Paradise Sdn Bhd, also came along.
5 Sept OF Project Coordinator visited En. Ishak’s dragon fruit farm in Tanjung Malim to do case study. She also visited Biotop’s Compost Plant in Bidor, Perak.

23 August CETDEM set up exhibition booth in Putrajaya in conjunction with Women & Environment Conference organized by DOA. Mr. Gurmit, Executive Director, was invited to speak.
16 August OF Project Coordinator gave guidance to Mrs Chong on starting up an organic garden at her bungalow in Bangsar Hill.
14 August OF Project Coordinator gave talk and demo on composting in Bukit Mertajam organized by local Rukun Tetangga.
13 August CETDEM Executive Director conducted “Sustainable Energy Usage In Urban Households" workshop at City Bayview Hotel, Penang.
2-3 August Tan JL (Board member), Dr. Gan (KGG) & the OFP coordinator attended Consumer Conference organized by FOMCA at Istana Hotel, KL
23 July The OFP Coordinator together with Tan of Chan Organic Shop and her regular customers, visited Dr. Ishak’s farm in Malacca & Vege Talk Sdn. Bhd. in Rembau respectively. En Maarof, Offical of Pejabat Pertanian Rembau, briefed us on the assistance (natural farming) the pejabat gave to the farmers in Rembau.

21-22 June OF Project Coordinator and DDC Techinical Coordinator attended the ‘Mobilizing Resources’ Seminar at Cititel Hotel organized by Citibank.
19-20 June CETDEM participated in Kitar Semula Expo at Menara MPPJ, PJ. Charles Tan of CETDEM Board and KGG member, Lee Chuy Fong volunteered to man the booth.
18 June OF Project Coordinator conducted Organic Farming Training for members of the Sasariarakka Buddhist Sanctuary in Taiping, Perak.
7 June The Ex. Dir. & OF Project Coordinator presented papers on “Energy: What Path Should We Take?” and “Organic Farming: Issues and Challenges” respectively at the National Conference on Sustainability 2005 at PWTC, KL organized by MENGOs.
29 May TITI STUDY TOUR — On a fine Sunday morning, about 70 members and friends, mainly adults with some children, car-pooled to Titi Eco Farm Resort.
28 May At the invitation of Jabatan Pertanian N. Sembilan, the OF Project Coordinator and KGG member Tan Teng Koon attended the Department’s 100 years celebration with an exhibition on Organic Products.
17 May Visited Dino’s plantation and new MISO “House” (he does not like to call it “factory”) in Negeri Sembilan. Dino, the man behind the Diago Miso which you can find in some of the Organic Shops. Dino is interested to start a community Organic Farm with a touch of spirituality.
7 May Together with the Ministry’s staff, the OF Project Coordinator visited the N&N Farm in Siburan. It is very refreshing to learn that the farm does not claim to be an organic farm even though they do not use any agrochemicals. They hope to meet many of the Organic Farming standards before they would claim to be Organic. At present, the produce are supplied to health shops and the retail price is RM2.00 per packet (at 300g). Apparently, the health shops get only 40sen per packet sold. The farm is heavily subsidized by the parent company and their primary motto is to promote and educate the public on the benefit of growing and eating organic food.
6 May OF Project Coordinator was invited by Jawatan kuasa Khas Alam Sekitar under the Ministry of Environment & Public Health Sarawak to demonstrate the recycling of domestic waste into compost to the community of Kg Tabuan Melayu, Kuching.
23 April MPPJ  PESTA —  CETDEM OF Project together with members: Natural Red S/ B, Health Paradise S/B, I-Green (M) S/B and farmer Yahgappu displayed their organic produces/products at the event organized by MPPJ.
20 April OF Coordinator gave a TALK & DEMO ON COMPOSTING at 1 Utama Shopping Centre organized by KGG member, Mr Wong Tar Hui.
12 April VISIT TO YAHGAPPU’S VEGETABLE GARDEN — OF Project Coordinator visited Yahgappu’s Vegetable garden in Batu Arang. He is into organic farming.

OFFICIAL OPENING OF ENERGY EFFICIENT HOME — CETDEM Office.
Dato’ Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik, Minister of Energy, Water & Communications officiated the opening.
